About

Puertoplateños Provincial Committee USA, INC (COPROPUSA)

We are pleased to introduce you to our institution: the Committee of Puertoplateños Residents in the United States (COPROPUSA). Founded in June 2005 in the vibrant city of New York, we are a 501 c3 non-profit organization. COPROPUSA has been a beacon of hope and support for children from low-income backgrounds through charitable events and donations.

Over the past 18 years of hard work, COPROPUSA has grown and matured, becoming an entity capable of facing the challenges that afflict our society. We are proud to say that we have progressed alongside every municipality, municipal district, and community that has joined us in promoting unity and brotherhood, always remembering that we are all Puerto Plata.

COPROPUSA has emerged as a forum for fostering unity among Puertoplateños residing in the United States, promoting fraternity among our diaspora established in places like New York, Canada, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Boston, and many other states. We use our activities as links to promote values and healthy endeavors in our community.

Today, as we celebrate our eleventh anniversary, we can look back with pride at the journey we have traveled. We have sparked the interest of the sectors and dynamic forces of our province, achieving a cohesive integration of all municipalities and municipal districts. We have shifted from individual attitudes to collective ones, advocating for the interests of our communities above personal or partisan interests.

We move forward with renewed commitment and enthusiasm, ready to continue serving our beloved Puerto Plata and its people!
